If I could give ten stars for service, I would. The location and rooms are amazing but the staff is next level. Upon check-in, I was casually asked what I was in town for. I told Anna at the desk the following day was my birthday. When I arrived home from birthday dinner, there was amazing mini flourless chocolate cake and a lovely note from Anna and the hotel. Thank you, Anna, for making my birthday more special. Truly, from the valet to desk to the restaurant, the service was impeccable.
This hotel is overpriced and not worth the money. My friend and I reserved a room for our annual girls weekend. While the lobby is absolutely beautiful the rooms are no better than your average mid-grade hotel and are in disrepair. Our room was IN the convention center, literally right next door which made our room loud, hot, and unsafe. This was not a discount room, we paid about $800 a night. The exterior doors were open 24/7 which made the room hot and humid. They start setting up for the meetings around 5 a.m. which means you wake up at 5 a.m. when they start bagging doors and tables. The room itself was small, no seating area, and the beds were terribly uncomfortable. The shower was broken and only partially worked, when I brought this up to the front desk their response was "oh, sorry". Housekeeping was sporadic and didn't arrive to clean the room until 5 p.m, which was when we were trying to get ready for dinner, and the turndown service was 9 p.m. or later so we didn't end up benefiting from that. I recommend walking a couple blocks and having an amazing hotel for several hundred less a night.
I recently stayed at Charleston Place, and it was absolutely fabulous! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure the stay was nothing short of exceptional. The rooms were impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, providing a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. Dining at the hotel was a delight; the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was inviting. The amenities were top-notch and very well-maintained. I truly had an exceptional time and could not recommend Charleston Place more highly. It's clear that every detail is thoughtfully considered to provide guests with a memorable and enjoyable experience. Can't wait to return!
What an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. We came here for our baby moon and coincidentally stayed during their large Easter celebration that they open to the public which is so nice. Staff was so friendly and helpful, room was beautiful, great location and the restaurants were delicious. Can’t wait to come back some day
We’ve been staying here for over a decade. Had one less than great experience out of 30+ stays. Best valet drivers in town. They helped me out of a jam during our last stay when somehow my son locked my keys in the Rolls. We literally just pulled up and took the bags out of the car…. It was a giant hassle and I know I blocked ppl from using that lane for over 2 hours. The valet guys and mgmt were gracious. Much appreciated. When in Chucktown, definitely consider TCP. - Vince D
